Acceptable Use Policy

PHASE B — DOCUMENT 10: ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Status: draft for review. Forms part of the Terms of Service (document 4). Binds the adult account holder and everyone in the household who uses the account.

A. WHAT KIDCHAT IS FOR

Curiosity, homework thinking, reading, making things, and safe discovery for children aged 6–12, under the supervision of the adult who owns the account.

B. NOT PERMITTED

People

• Using KidChat to harass, bully, threaten, sexualize, exploit, or endanger any person, especially a child.
• Letting an adult use a child profile to obtain answers the adult surface would not give, or using KidChat to coach or groom a child.
• Creating a profile for a child you are not the parent or legal guardian of. (C-01)
• Entering a false birthdate to bypass the 6–12 age range. (C-02)

Safety and controls

• Attempting to bypass or disable safety systems, output filtering, the Parent PIN, screen-time rules, or the child-facing transparency notice.
• Prompt injection or jailbreak attempts aimed at producing sexual, violent, self-harm, extremist, or otherwise harmful content for a child.

The service

• Scraping, reverse engineering, resale, sublicensing, automated bulk querying, or building a competing model from outputs.
• Uploading malware, probing infrastructure without authorization (good-faith reports go to security@kidchat.io), or interfering with availability.
• Illegal use, or use that violates a third party's rights.

Content

• Deliberately entering another person's personal data.
• Using outputs as medical, legal, psychological, financial, or safety advice, or presenting outputs as verified fact. (C-20)

C. WHAT HAPPENS IF THIS POLICY IS BROKEN

Depending on severity: an in-product warning, a feature restriction, suspension of a child profile, suspension or termination of the account, and — where a child may be at risk — routing into the Child Safety Policy escalation matrix (document 5). We may act without prior notice when a child's safety is at stake. Where a legal obligation applies, we comply with it; we do not claim to report to authorities as a matter of routine. (C-15)

D. POLÍTICA DE USO ACEPTABLE — español (México)

No está permitido: usar KidChat para acosar, amenazar, sexualizar, explotar o poner en riesgo a cualquier persona, en especial a la niñez; que una persona adulta use un perfil infantil para obtener respuestas que no obtendría en la superficie de adultos; crear un perfil de una niña o un niño sobre quien no se ejerce la patria potestad o tutela; falsear la fecha de nacimiento para evadir el rango de 6 a 12 años; intentar desactivar los sistemas de seguridad, el NIP, los límites de tiempo o el aviso permanente a la niñez; realizar intentos de manipulación del modelo para obtener contenido dañino; extraer, revender o hacer ingeniería inversa del servicio; cargar software malicioso; ni usar las respuestas como asesoría médica, legal, psicológica o financiera.

Consecuencias según la gravedad: advertencia, restricción de funciones, suspensión del perfil o de la cuenta y, cuando exista riesgo para una niña o un niño, activación de la matriz de escalamiento de seguridad. Apelaciones: legal@kidchat.io · Seguridad: safety@kidchat.io.
